Amazing Sunday!

Sunday started at 00:00 was working. Got home around 2.30.
Went to bed and woke up 7 in the morning.
Opened the window so get some fresh air in. Feeling so sleepy. The cold air wakes me up.
Walked half way to Kings Street to meet Marta. I don't what is it in the mornings but I actually do like them, from the moment I get out of the warm room.

Went to badminton competition.

I haven´t played proper competitive for ages. I was so happy.
We are in halls at 9 in the morning. I feel how adrenaline burst through my wines, while I am trying to do some worm up.
It was such a great day. I won some games with Marta and some games with Brian. Did´t get out of my group but it game me enough motivation to train harder, as they were close and cool games.

After games in the evening I went for a Sauna part at Marta`s sister´s place. Met some German people. Was a funny night. Haven´t been relaxing for ages. So I really enjoyed that.

The people there were smart and funny. Although they had quite black humour. Well actually it is better to say we had.
"We should make non cogitative children so the paedophile could have them. Problem solved."
" Well you can do what ever to dead people, I mean they are dead end of the day. I wouldn´t care if I am dead."
It was so harsh that I felt sorry for laughing.
And of course a long discussion about how good or bad are the proteins and how you should take them. Something for Rain.

I havent laughed so much from the time I was n Estonia with my Bests*

Smile. It´s WINTER

"Chess- Fashion Shoot"

Got the pictures.
Dave was nice as he brought them up to Woolmahills so I didn't need to really go anywhere.

They are quite good. Now I just know that I should have talked more with the models to get everything 100% nice. But well this was my first photo shoot styling.

This one is my favorite. (All rights reserved by David Padgham)

And now. Some Images from behind the scenes by Paul Hill.
If I think about it afterwards.... it was fun day. And I got pretty much the right thing out of it.

"Yep that looks good ...."
"But I also want..."

"Liking this"

I actually do like to see photos of photographer making shoots. As you can see so much focus and funny poses.

Moto of the day: Know the people you will be working with!!!

University task:

Organise a fashion shoot for magazine.

University help: Edward - Aberdeen college, photo student. (2nd year)

It all looks very simple. I just need a place and models and everything should be fine.
Well I was SO wrong.

The task was meant to be done in groups.
I was in a group with 2 French girls. They didn't want to do only 1 photo shoot. So we have separate shoots.

Audrey takes the leading role and contacts Edward. He doesn't answer for couple of days.
At last we manage to meet up.

Café in Triple Kirx.

We start talking. (Girls don't understand anything and don't talk a lot as well.)
Edward starts asking me so many question.
When Who what How many Why....

I'm getting confused. I only know half of the answers and only for my shoots. Said I don't know all. Didn't even know I should know.

After that I will get a half hour lecture from Edward what he needs to see and know before photo shoot.

Much more useful than the lecture on photos hoot in uni.

Went home and started thinking.
No ideas...no ideas.....no ideas....no ideas...deem I'm in trouble.

Went to art gallery to get ideas. That worked.

Theme : Chess game.
Models: Audrey and Caroline (the French girls)
Place: Art Gallery.

Went home e-mailed art gallery to make the photo shoot. Went online to find similar looks to show Edward what I want. Seems that everything is goint to be sorted out just fine.

Many e-mails later with Edward and art gallery my homework is done.

About month later (second week of November) from my starting point I have everything arranged.

Can relax. Easy

Art Gallery photo shoot. "Chess game"
15.NOV 10-12.00
Black will win.

14. Nov. 18.00 I will get a text from Edward. Sorry I cant make it, someting came up. (there also was a reason in text but he asked me not to talk about it.)

I was just on my way for my training. I think my heart just missed a beat. I have just couple of hours to figure out how to find a new photographer.

Angry text back to Edward "find me someone"

and text to Paul "do you know someone?"

After many texts and hours of cracking nerves I will get a phone call from Paul.

"yes, my friend David will do it. He is photo student in Aberdeen College as well."
I feel how wave of relax goes through my body.

After a while I get a text from Edward saying the same thing came out that Paul´s friend David is Edward´s course mate. Aberdeen is small.

OK everything is sorted. Nothing can go wrong now. Will go for a film with Paul.

THE DAY OF PHOTOSHOOT

Wake up at 8.15 in the morning. Girls should be at mine 9.15. Ill find make up and leave dresses on my bed.
Will get a text from Audrey: " hey you heard anything about Caroline?"
"I am confused she doesn't have Scottish number, is her best friend ad definitely new abut shoot"

After many text later came about Caroline was in Edinburgh and most likely forget about shoot and now we cant get in touch with her. I'm freaking out.

I have half an hour to go and don't have one model.
Text to Laura (my flatmate.)

Yes she said she is in. Looking extremely sleepy. I explained her the situation and she was happy to model for me . THANK GOD I have Laura!

Sending Audrey text come to mine. No answer. Trying to call her- no answer. Where the heck did she go now?
Will go through her flat. She is having shower.

“Hey you had to be mine 15min ago? “

“Yee well are we still doing the shot`?”

“YEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!! I never said we don´t ?“

Honestly I think my adrenaline was fucking high.

"Ok I will try to do fast. "
"Don't try just do it. We need to leave in 10min."

I go back to my flat.

Ill get a call from Paul.

“We´re here.”

“ Cool I´ll be there soon just one of the girls is a bit slow. Try my best!”

I hate to be late especially if it is vital not to be late.

Laura is almost ready. Lets go.

Going to Audrey´s "I still need to dry my hair. "
"No leave it. Will do everything once we get to the gallery! Go!"

We leave.
Arrive at gallery. Guys are cool. Jason (art gallery guy) asked me to sign some copyright paper and off we go.

The Shoot can begin!

It was great fun. And I liked to work with them. David was amazing. Got a lot of help from Paul as well. And Laura literally saved my ass.

End of the day. It's better work with people you TRUST and KNOW will turne up.

Think I lost about half of my nerves yesterday and today. But had a hard corn lesson. Will from now on certainly choose more carefully the people I will work with.

Just to mention again. Last Minute helpers, my friends: David, Paul, Laura. Shoot could not have happened without them.

Also Audrey who was extremely late, but end of the day SHE TURED UP.
