This is Holidays!

There is no one in halls. Well I am lying, I mean almost noone.

My flatmates are all away. Most of them is home- Enjoying Chrismtas.

Marina was meant to stay here, but now she is off to Elgen  to visit a friend as well.

It´s funny, so quiet.
I dont mind to be alone. Its not that I am proper alone. Went playing badminton today and yesterday.
Also went to see a movie with Erki:  Tron Legagcy-  Bit too fantasy and long for me.

Going to Edinburgh on Sunday. Cannot wait. Why? May be I do not like to be alone?
No I acutally do.
I am going because it is nice to see old faces once in a while again. Not everyone though....but some.

Will meet Allan, Laimo and Monta inKirkcaldy
Alex,Sid, and Rajat and may be Craig as well in Edinburgh.

David doesnt speak to me anymore, not sure why, but I am not too bothered anymore.
Arjun seemes to be bit pissed off with me as well, dont´know what did  do now. I am not even in Kdy.....
It is quite complicated with his moods. You never know what he thinks or what is or what is not wrong with him. The best thing is to let him be to see will this mood go away or not.
I know you should love your firends with all their mistakes but sometimes I think its better just leave it and grow appart.

When the firendship is more hustle than fun. We never been really close anyway....

I dont think I would ever let my Estonian firiends go.

I spoke to Balys yesterda again. Well fun, I really miss him.
I applied to go to study in Danemark as erasmus. You can guess twice how much I´m looking foward for that.

There is something about this song....

Aberdeen is beautiful.

Need pildid on linna ääres. Aberdeen Altens  Industrial State regioonis.

                                Peaaegu nagu Eestis.

Tark otsus talve saapad kaasa võtta. Ecco :D

                                   Ostsin lõhnaküünla.

Lumine talv.
Natuke tahaks ikkagi koju.

Need Help! Fashion as Art!

Is fashion an art?
If it is who is the artist. The person who wears a piece of clothes as her identification or the designer who has designed it?

Under Jennfier Lopez picture:
Nevelson's argument, what she is wearing is not a direct representation of her, but of the designer Versace, thus it is not art. "Who are you wearing?...Versace."

Modern sculptor Louise Nevelson states “Fashion could be an art, but it isn’t,”

the best of fashion is worthy of the name art”  Norman Norell

So what is your ideas on that?

Do you think you are an artists putting clothes on yourself or you just the consumer ?

 Need ideas and different views!

Amazing Sunday!

Sunday started at 00:00 was working. Got home around 2.30.
Went to bed and woke up 7 in the morning.
Opened the window so get some fresh air in. Feeling so sleepy. The cold air wakes me up.
Walked half way to Kings Street to meet Marta. I don't what is it in the mornings but I actually do like them, from the moment I get out of the warm room.

Went to badminton competition.

I haven´t played proper competitive for ages. I was so happy.
We are in halls at 9 in the morning. I feel how adrenaline burst through my wines, while I am trying to do some worm up.
It was such a great day. I won some games with Marta and some games with Brian. Did´t get out of my group but it game me enough motivation to train harder, as they were close and cool games.

After games in the evening I went for a Sauna part at Marta`s sister´s place. Met some German people. Was a funny night. Haven´t been relaxing for ages. So I really enjoyed that.

The people there were smart and funny. Although they had quite black humour. Well actually it is better to say we had.
"We should make non cogitative children so the paedophile could have them. Problem solved."
" Well you can do what ever to dead people, I mean they are dead end of the day. I wouldn´t care if I am dead."
It was so harsh that I felt sorry for laughing.
And of course a long discussion about how good or bad are the proteins and how you should take them. Something for Rain.

I havent laughed so much from the time I was n Estonia with my Bests*

Smile. It´s WINTER

"Chess- Fashion Shoot"

Got the pictures.
Dave was nice as he brought them up to Woolmahills so I didn't need to really go anywhere.

They are quite good. Now I just know that I should have talked more with the models to get everything 100% nice. But well this was my first photo shoot styling.

This one is my favorite. (All rights reserved by David Padgham)

And now. Some Images from behind the scenes by Paul Hill.
If I think about it afterwards.... it was fun day. And I got pretty much the right thing out of it.

"Yep that looks good ...."
"But I also want..."

"Liking this"

I actually do like to see photos of photographer making shoots. As you can see so much focus and funny poses.

Moto of the day: Know the people you will be working with!!!

University task:

Organise a fashion shoot for magazine.

University help: Edward - Aberdeen college, photo student. (2nd year)

It all looks very simple. I just need a place and models and everything should be fine.
Well I was SO wrong.

The task was meant to be done in groups.
I was in a group with 2 French girls. They didn't want to do only 1 photo shoot. So we have separate shoots.

Audrey takes the leading role and contacts Edward. He doesn't answer for couple of days.
At last we manage to meet up.

Café in Triple Kirx.

We start talking. (Girls don't understand anything and don't talk a lot as well.)
Edward starts asking me so many question.
When Who what How many Why....

I'm getting confused. I only know half of the answers and only for my shoots. Said I don't know all. Didn't even know I should know.

After that I will get a half hour lecture from Edward what he needs to see and know before photo shoot.

Much more useful than the lecture on photos hoot in uni.

Went home and started thinking.
No ideas...no ideas.....no ideas....no ideas...deem I'm in trouble.

Went to art gallery to get ideas. That worked.

Theme : Chess game.
Models: Audrey and Caroline (the French girls)
Place: Art Gallery.

Went home e-mailed art gallery to make the photo shoot. Went online to find similar looks to show Edward what I want. Seems that everything is goint to be sorted out just fine.

Many e-mails later with Edward and art gallery my homework is done.

About month later (second week of November) from my starting point I have everything arranged.

Can relax. Easy

Art Gallery photo shoot. "Chess game"
15.NOV 10-12.00
Black will win.

14. Nov. 18.00 I will get a text from Edward. Sorry I cant make it, someting came up. (there also was a reason in text but he asked me not to talk about it.)

I was just on my way for my training. I think my heart just missed a beat. I have just couple of hours to figure out how to find a new photographer.

Angry text back to Edward "find me someone"

and text to Paul "do you know someone?"

After many texts and hours of cracking nerves I will get a phone call from Paul.

"yes, my friend David will do it. He is photo student in Aberdeen College as well."
I feel how wave of relax goes through my body.

After a while I get a text from Edward saying the same thing came out that Paul´s friend David is Edward´s course mate. Aberdeen is small.

OK everything is sorted. Nothing can go wrong now. Will go for a film with Paul.

THE DAY OF PHOTOSHOOT

Wake up at 8.15 in the morning. Girls should be at mine 9.15. Ill find make up and leave dresses on my bed.
Will get a text from Audrey: " hey you heard anything about Caroline?"
"I am confused she doesn't have Scottish number, is her best friend ad definitely new abut shoot"

After many text later came about Caroline was in Edinburgh and most likely forget about shoot and now we cant get in touch with her. I'm freaking out.

I have half an hour to go and don't have one model.
Text to Laura (my flatmate.)

Yes she said she is in. Looking extremely sleepy. I explained her the situation and she was happy to model for me . THANK GOD I have Laura!

Sending Audrey text come to mine. No answer. Trying to call her- no answer. Where the heck did she go now?
Will go through her flat. She is having shower.

“Hey you had to be mine 15min ago? “

“Yee well are we still doing the shot`?”

“YEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!! I never said we don´t ?“

Honestly I think my adrenaline was fucking high.

"Ok I will try to do fast. "
"Don't try just do it. We need to leave in 10min."

I go back to my flat.

Ill get a call from Paul.

“We´re here.”

“ Cool I´ll be there soon just one of the girls is a bit slow. Try my best!”

I hate to be late especially if it is vital not to be late.

Laura is almost ready. Lets go.

Going to Audrey´s "I still need to dry my hair. "
"No leave it. Will do everything once we get to the gallery! Go!"

We leave.
Arrive at gallery. Guys are cool. Jason (art gallery guy) asked me to sign some copyright paper and off we go.

The Shoot can begin!

It was great fun. And I liked to work with them. David was amazing. Got a lot of help from Paul as well. And Laura literally saved my ass.

End of the day. It's better work with people you TRUST and KNOW will turne up.

Think I lost about half of my nerves yesterday and today. But had a hard corn lesson. Will from now on certainly choose more carefully the people I will work with.

Just to mention again. Last Minute helpers, my friends: David, Paul, Laura. Shoot could not have happened without them.

Also Audrey who was extremely late, but end of the day SHE TURED UP.

There is a God!

Alarm. 5.15am.
This is way too early.
No, I do love the mornings, not just so early ones.

Eyes open. Get dressed.
Breakfast - No. Too early.
Crab a cup of coffeé. Run out the flat to catch the train.

Fresh air. No sunlight as always. It is Aberdeen. But something inside this air makes me feel fresh. There is like something saying to me "Good morning!" Yes I do love mornings. They remind me Balys. Just sunlight and cigarettes are missing.

The train station looks sleepy. Everything seems to be moving slow. Like there is still lots of dream-dust on people. It makes me feel sleep again.

I'm looking at train times. My train arrives 7.52.
It is 7.15. Early- again.
I sat on a bench and start looking at people: business men with suitcases, women in every ages. Why they asre in such a hurry but moving so slow? May be it´s just me.

Older women with lots of bags and two 7 to 9 years old children. Children look so tired. They are leaning on their mum.

Hmm...think the train arrived. Going through the gates to train. Coach G seat 2A. Yes next to window. Good night!

“Excuse me, is this seat taken? “
There is a man in his 70 may be even 80 standing next to my bench. I'm looking at him and trying to understand what he just said?
“Excuse me, is this seat taken?”

“No no, ye you cans sit here.”
I move my thing bit more together so he could fit next to me.

“What the wonderful weather isn't it?”
I'm looking out of the window and realise it is sunny again. (obviously we need to be out of Scotland )
“Yes it is.”
“ I apologise I woke you up ...So where do you travel from?”

“Aberdeen.”

From there on he told me a lots of thing about Aberdeen he knew and kept asking about all the places you can ski. I think he thinks I am from there. Not sure how should I bring it up that I'm not Scottish?

“I have been to Aberdeen just a week I don't know this place really well.”
“Ou, I see. Where you from then?”
“Estonia.”
“So you are not Scottish? Got me fooled then.“
Not sure how to react for that sentence, so I just smile.

We passed a beautiful town, cant remember the name.
He suddenly starts to talk about churches in that town. Also about god.
From that on my history lesson started. In Lincoln there is cathedral which is one of he most English English cathedrals. (not sure what that means)
He talked about people I have never heard, of places I should know but unfortunately don't have a slightest idea.
He talked about his life. And how friends around him are dying because of ages.
Every word he said sounded like it comes with a bigger story behind it. If I looked into his eyes you could see that his is not with me. He is in that place he is talking about. Sometimes I saw a tear in his eye.

"I'm not religious"
"It is sad, it is very sad, because there is a god."
I found it better not to argue with him.

Next stop : Newark
"That is me.
"Ou. Well nice to meet you darling. And deficiently go to those places. Hope you will find god one day."
"Nice to meet you too, Good bye."

Famous People!

It was one of those days I was on the road again.
Journey was from Aberdeen to Kirkcaldy. Took evening train, as I had university at the daytime.
Arrived in train station at 17.00. My train leaves at 17.40. I was too early, as always.
Bought my coffeé again.
Queue was amazingly short for all those people rushing around train station.
Anyway the train arrived.
76 F, couch D. Found my place. Yes- empty. No-one sitting next to me.
I took hoody out of my bag to use it as pillow. Good night.

"....next stop Dundee..."
"Excuse me. I think I am sitting next you."
"Yee Sure." Putting quickly all my things together which are lying all around the place.
How come I have so much stuff. It seems it is taking ages to get everything together. Done, at last. So who is this?

A guy in his mid 40 I think. He smiles at me and asks where am I heading?
"To Kirkclady. It `s just couple of stops from here. I think will take just under an hour. "

"Aright. Well ye...I am...."
From now on. I heard his whole life story. He was in Dundee to visit his family. He is Scottish, but lives down in England, near London. You better don't get this part wrong...He is Scottish, NOT English.
He has his own company. Doing catering services. He is a busy man as he said. He listed lots of famous people he has met thanks to his company. (who I have never heard of, but i think it is cause they are local British stars who I don't really know.)

"The stars are just like me and you. Just normal people. I have MET them. I know some people think they are something big or ...you know...like STARS. But they are actually not. I KNOW"
We had this conversation on for a while. He seemed quite proud. It was nice to hear him talking with such a enthusiasm.

The conversation carried on on advertisements.
He have played in one of them. It was for German rail service company. I got to see the video, as he had it with him in his laptop. Interesting, but I didn't really recognise him, as there was lots of people. In the video they all had to dance together, which seemed quite complicated. At the same time it seemed to be lots of fun. Amazing....
I mean to make all these random people to work together. Talent!
Rest of the journey he kept talking about the feeling what he had by doing this and also about famous people he admires. He seemed very sincere in everything he said.

But I didn't understand was it just a topic to talk about or he tried to impress me...
I mean not specifically me, ME could been anyone else. Just impress someone?

"next stop Kirkcaldy" "Its me. Thanks. Have a safe journey. "
"You as well. Was very nice to meet you. See you later!"
We sounded like friends...

And I never got his name......

Lennujaam

Täna on see päev kus jälle kõik peale hakkab.

Varjane hommik. Sõit lennujaama. Tallinna lennujaam on äramärkimisvääreslt ilus. Jätan pagasi hooletult turva nõuetest hoolimata ühe pingi juurde ja asun otsingutele "Kust saaks hommikukohvi?"
3.30am. Tulutult. Ei jää üle muud kui oodata Check -inˇi.
3.35....3.40....45.....50....55...4.00....4.01....
Tundub nagu aeg on otsustanud eriti aeglaselt liikuma hakata.
4.02- Ckeck in avatud.
Sama vana lugu. Dokument, kood, pagas 16kg. Mu kodu kaal oli päris kindlasti vigane sest näitas 19kg.
tere headaega äitah
Turvakontroll. kõik on jällegi tuttav.
Läpakas kotist välja, pusad sallid seljast, vedelikud kilekotti, naeratus läbi koridor aitäh.
Läpakas tagasi räti sisse ja puma kotti. Sall lohakalt kaelaümber. Kiletkott kotti. Pusa ülekoti visatunud..... sest tegelikult on siisn üsna soe.

Nii..jalutuskäik mööda tühja lennujaama. Asjad pingi peale. Kohviotsingutele.
Seekord tulemusega.
Kuum latte pehma tool ja internet.
Tundub kdoune, harjumuspärane, meeldiv.
Tundsin puudust lendamisest.
Teretulemast tagasi, lennujaama!
